Antonín Dvořák and the region of Liberec - Sources for composer's life and work

The goal of the submitted work is to find out and to evaluate the state of sources connected with Antonín Dvořák's personal artistic contacts as well as with reception of his artwork and his figure in the regions set in the introduction of this work and by the concept of Liberec region in general. The first chapter named "State of Research" brings along with other information also the report on discovering two copies of letters completely unknown until now in the section named "Sources". Antonín Dvořák addressed these letters to Alois Göbl to Sychrov. The next chapter is dedicated to Turnov region and to his concert in Semily. This chapter summarizes already well known information about Dvořák's visits in this region; as well as it expands our knowledge based on unpublished sources from the archive of the choir named Antonín Dvořák, and also from Museum of Český Ráj both located in Turnov. The last chapter focuses on other regions stated in the introduction; the sources based on this theme were expected to be relatively smaller after the very first look at the problem. Municipality of Hradčany in Podještědí in the story of contemporary history

This master's thesis follows the author's previous bachelor thesis Village Hradčany in Podještědí at Contemporary History 1914 -1948. Using terminology and methods of regional history and microhistory it accents exploring contemporary history of whole commune and municipality Hradčany with all of its historical villages. It will deal comprehensively with cultural-historical and political-historical problems and phenomena of the of the second half of the 20th century, beginning with the communist rise of power in 1948 , continuing by demise of traditional rural economy in the fifties. But it will also mention the extinction of commune Hradčany itself and its connecting to the bigger commune of socialist type in seventies and developement of socialist rural society. Due to comparing the local archive sources with sources from other surrounding settlements the work should produce a synthetical historical source, which could be taken as a general picture of history of settlements in the region. The whole work is based primarily on archive and oral-history research, interviews with the oldest settlers, collection of photographic sources and written documents as memories.
Village Hradčany in Podještědí at Contemporaly History 1914 - 1948

This work focuses on exploring the village Hradčany in Podještědí in historical period 1914-1957. The main theme of the work is the specific situation of Hradčany, the village on the ethnic, and later also state border of Sudeten and Protectorate during the Second World War, as well as the building of socialism and the ending of the traditional rural economy in the fifties. The whole work is based primarily on oral-history research, interviews with the oldest settlers, collection of photographic sources and written documents as memories and administrative documents.

Copper Fragments Analysis of the Shrine Cross from Český Dub

Elektron microscopy has been applied to fragment fracture area of copper sheet remains cross from Český –Dub. Different level of degradation – serious corrosion damage of the cross front side and plate from revese side heve been proven.This fact leads to conclution that reverse side of the remains Gross have been made much later, probably dutiny cross restorationwhich is confirmed also by analysis of materiál composition of metal core from cross front side and well-preserved reverse side.
Conservation of Textile Fragment from Arcaeological Find of Child´s Grave in Brno

Conservation and separation of well-preserved decorative clothes elements of the child´s grave in Brno are describe in this contribution. First of all, X-ray analyse were carries out followed by microscopic and FTIR spectrometer analyse of all materiales. This archeological find contains spektrum of the decorative elements from rare materiále. That not very common in pasant milieu. Silk ribbons twiled on the plates and silk velur have the same structure which has been identified on the clothing of Margaret Frances Dietrichstein of Mikulov from the second decade of the 17th century.
Survey and Restoration of the Shrine Cross from Český Dub

Two-ply shrine cross founder 2003 in Český Dub is one of the most important find in last few years. The results of the research and restoration of the cross showed that the front side was made much earlier then reverse side and give us all necessary information for precision replica construction. Significance of this artefact supported a decision to treat it and create a copy of it. Therefore this unique relic can become part of our cultural heritage.
